Memorial Day weekend

What a rainy weekend! Long weekends are the best! Today (Tuesday) at work I keep thinking its Monday, so its nice when I then remember its Tuesday! Our Memorial weekend was nice! Saturday we took a long drive to "explore" 5 hours later we finally get home haha. It was long but it was fun! Preston could drive all day every day exploring every single road that he doesn't know where it leads to! That night we hung out with Shawn and Katie.. we watched Juno, ordered pizza and got LOTS of pop hahaha. Then we of course had to get our halo time in! Its always fun with those two! Sunday was the usual Sunday, church, (primary) then we went to my parents for a yummy dutch oven dinner my dad made then went up to Oma's and Opa's. We have some German relatives visiting from... well, Germany haha So we went to see them on Sunday! Then monday... got a nice long sleep in! It was fun that it was all rainy outside and that we didn't have to work and I could just cuddle up in bed and watch tv haha. Then I actually went to the gym on a day off! I'm really getting motivated now to work out since Tahoe is just around the corner and swimsuit season is here! We then had yet another Vielstich gathering (imagine that!) at My aunt and uncle's house (Criag and Annette) It was pouring rain most of the night so we all crammed in their house to eat! It was fun, then Nichole and Chuck came over and we played.... take a guess! More Halo! haha can you tell we love that game!
Well, it was a nice long fun weekend! But coming back to work always sucks! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend as well!

How long did you date? hmmm.. We were way close friends a year before we started dating, then dated a year and a half before he proposed then had a 3 month engagment... it felt like forever we dated haha.

More Birthdays

The month is May is one busy month for birthdays on the Vielstich side. Last weekend (first weekend of May) My Grandma Bev and Grandpa Don came in from California (Grandma Bev is my mom's birth mom, who we keep in close contact with) It was so fun to have them come and for them to be here for mine and Elisa's birthdays! What a great birthday to have them here! We miss you guys already! The Friday night they were here they treated the family to a delicious pizza dinner to Litzas. Then on Saturday we had a big family BBQ for all the May birthdays! All the Vielstich's were there, Grandma was there and Grandma Bev and Grandpa Don! What a party! Then during this past week, Lili and I celebrated our birthdays. Lili's birthday was on the 5th and mine, the 6th! She was a fun Birthday present a few years ago! So on the 5th we went to visit lili! She's so into the Jonas Brothers these days, Kinda reminds me of when I was WAY into the backstreet boys back in the day. She got Jonas Brothers yearbook and that totally out beat all the other cool stuff she got, including the slip-n-slide we gave her! We had fun celebrating her birthday with her! Then the next day for my birthday, Preston took me to the Cheesecake factory, best cheesecake ever! That was my first time being there. Then after work I was craving cheese fries so we went to Training Table cause they have the best cheese fries! After dinner, my parents, lili and chris came over. I got some really nice stuff from them! Including a wind up sushi roll (inside joke) haha. Lili came with a HUGE dandelion flower bouquet she made for me that took her WHOLE recess! She is so funny and is always loving to make things for people! She even made me a crown out of dandelions. Preston gave me a new stereo for my car, the one in my car is a factory CD player so you would think it would be great, but no, from day one of having that car it has had major issues so Preston was sweet and got me a nice new one! I'm very excited to go get it installed! BUT I didn't even think to pull out my camera for any of this fun stuff! But just use your imagination, it was fun! We even got my dad hooked on Halo! haha.
THEN... Tonight (Friday the 9th) Prestons parents and sister took us to dinner for my birthday. We went to Texas Road House and Preston's dad got me back by telling the people it was my birthday and they brought a saddle out for me to sit on and made a huge ordeal that it was my birthday! I did that to his dad a few months ago when it was his birthday so he paid me back! But it was fun and a very good dinner! Then they came back to our place to watch the end of the Jazz game and to give me presents. Jessica got me smelly good spray from Bath and Body works! You can never go wrong with that stuff! Then his parents got us a HUGE bucket full of ever preparedness thing you could think of. And then another HUGE bucket with 3 days worth of 3 full meals! Might sould like a weird gift to some of you guys, but I feel sooo good now knowing I have all of that, I never thought I'd be able to get all that stuff together! It is so nice It has everything you could possibly think of in case of an emergency! So thank you to EVERYBODY who made it a fun birthday! I love you all! Here is Preston in his spiffy new outfit! He wanted to get a nice outfit where he could look dressy and nice without having to wear a suit all the time or a white shirt with a tie! So He got a new shirt, new pants, a new belt and new shoes! I think he looks nice!
