"Remember as far as anyone knows, we’re a nice normal family"-- Homer Simpson

Preston and I have the coolest families out there. A few weeks ago, Preston's cousins Lynada-Jo and Christine came to visit their sister and her husband (James and Ashley). James and Ashley live close to us on the A.F. base so the two sisters came to visit their sister Ashley and we were able to go out to dinner with them one of the nights they were here. It was so fun to see them and catch up and see the two little girls play! We went to Buffalo Wild Wings for some yummy dinner!

Preston with his cousins!
Cute little girls! Autumn and Emily.

About a week after the cousins were here, my brothers Chris and Brady and their friend R.J. (who might as well be another brother since we've known their family since both R.J. and I were just babies) came to stay with us for a few days. It was SO much fun!! We watched lots of movies, they played lots of video games, swam, bbq, went to Wet 'N Wild water park, went to the DBacks game, swam some more! I miss those boys already. Preston and I are so glad they were able to visit! Come back soon guys!

I don't know how my Oma did it raising 6 boys. I had 4 (including Preston) in my house and I couldn't keep up on dishes and I kept stressing about having enough food!

If any of you haven't played Tripoley, you definitely need to. We got hooked on the game visiting Grandma Bev and Grandpa Don in March and they were so nice and got us our very own game as a "house warming" present when we moved so now we're passing on the awesome-ness of the game!
DBacks!
As much as I love my brothers, I love this boy the most :)
DBacks won! 6-4 in the fastest Baseball game ever. It was only 2 hours (they usually last 3-4). Ha. I just noticed Preston was blinking!!
See what I mean about the food. They were like Carnivores!

There ya have it! In 2 weeks from tonight, my mommy will be here visiting!! Now, pardon me as I leave.. Preston is out playing ball with the boys so I am going to take advantage of nothing to do and do some scrapbooking. I'm SO behind!

Lots of blessings!

Lately Preston and I have been feeling so blessed! We have moved into a great house that we're taking care of while a couple in our ward is on a mission. They get back a month after Preston graduates. Perfect timing. One big blessing? I think so! By living here, it will help tremendously in the amount we take on for student loans. We believe it's a blessing of being full tithe payers!

We've been in the house for a few weeks now and love it. It took a bit for the house to feel like our home since we still have lots of the other couple's stuff up and using. But now with all out stuff up and our pictures and decorations and living here a few weeks, we are right at home and very comfortable. We thought we'd be a little squished even being in a house since we still have their stuff along with ours. But between a bedroom and the garage, we have more than enough room. More than we need. We even have an actual guest bedroom for all of you who come visit! Although the painting/ wall art is not my "cup of tea" it is a beautiful home, very clean with very nice things and we are just so happy and grateful to be in a home!

Another thing we've been so grateful for lately is amazing friends. We definitely feel like we have family away from family here. Between friends from school, work and church.. we feel like we fit right in here in AZ. The past few weeks, we have been on a couple of double dates, on Sunday, we were invited to a family's home for dinner. I've had 2 girls nights.. one with the girls I work with and one with girls from church. Just last night, we had such a fun time with our good friends Megan and Kendall. We went roller skating. Talk about blast from the past! I hadn't been to a skating rink since Jr. High! We also got pizza and drinks!

Kendall and Megan also have two super cute kids who I claim as my niece and nephew while we're here! Lachland and Tenley. We watched them a couple of weeks ago and I thought I'd add them to the blog too!

Lachland called Preston "that boy" I'm making a train with "that boy". "Where is that boy, I miss him" (As Preston was having Lachlan look for him)

Love this girl

Preston has started another round of rotations. This one is at a "closed pharmacy" where they don't work with the outside public. They do most of their work with retirement homes. Preston really likes it so far and is learning a ton of new stuff. The only thing that isn't that great is his schedule. The days are great but 2 of the 4 weeks, he is there from 4pm to midnight and I don't even get off until 4 so those weeks, we don't see each other. But it's only 4 weeks, and I just keep myself busy. He signed up to do a 6 week rotation block in UT, his very last 6 weeks of school, that should help his chances of getting a job quickly in UT when we're all done!

Well, that's our update for the most part! Next week we have my brothers coming to visit and a few weeks after that, my mom is coming to visit!! We've got some fun stuff coming up so stay tuned!

p.s. Whatever they have done to blogger to make changes, I am not liking them! Makes arranging things way more complicated. Is it just me!? I'm not liking it!
