Birthdays and Blessings!

What a crazy but fun week! Wednesday, as you know from my last post was Preston's birthday! He's an old man now and is 23! For his birthday I took him to lunch to one of his favorite places.. David's Kitchen! A great Chinese restaurant. Since he had school that night instead of taking him to dinner we ordered pizza and hung out at home and he opened his presents from me. I got him some much needed new clothes! All he spends his money on his shoes, football stuff and food haha so I hooked him up with new clothes... Not the most exciting thing, but wait to see what I have in store for his Christmas! So his birthday from me was smaller just cause his Christmas will be... pricey. (But he's worth it!) He had a great day and his work had gifts for him and a huge cake and pretty much treated him like the boss all day... even the boss did haha. Then for more partying for his birthday, on Friday we had all the fam over for cake, ice cream and more presents. It was so fun to have everybody over. Our families get along so well and we couldn't have it any better! We missed Heidi, Chase, Cade and Jess.. Cadence was sick and Heidi got off work late and Jess was up at a funeral in Logan. It was so fun though. He got money, more clothes, toys, movies and lots of love from everybody! Everybody loves Preston! Probably the highlight gift of his whole birthday were the shoes his mom gave him. They are Nike shoes. He had them in high school and they got stolen, they were pretty much his first love and he has missed them ever since. But he never went and bought more cause Nike didn't make them anymore... UNTIL a couple months ago! His mom jumped on it and got him the same shoes he had in high school. He loves those babies!... I mean shoes! He is a shoe-a-holic. haha. We had a great time with all the fam. After they all left we had Mason (his good friend) come over to watch Iron Man, He got that from my parents as part of their gift to him. Awesome movie! It was a fun day! Oh, and we had to turn on our furnace for the first time this season.. burrr! It got down right freezing! (As many of you know) Opa, Lili, Oma, DadMom, Mom, Dad, Preston, Chris
Bill, Grandma, GrandmaCandle time!!!Here are the shoes! Pretty sweet!

Then on Saturday Preston had football practice so I went up North with him and hung out with my sister and baby C. And might I add... IN THE SNOW! Sheesh, not ready for that yet! We had fun, we ran a couple errands! Then after Preston was done with Practice we went to his parents and later on went to dinner for Preston and his mom's birthday. (Her birthday was the 6th.. 2 days before Preston's) We went to Outback Steakhouse! It was delish! And we all got ice cream and they sang happy birthday to Preston and his mom! We then just spent the night at the in-laws Saturday night because Sunday we had two baby blessings! They were such great blessings. The first one was for Cadence! Chase did a great job! Cadence looked beautiful in her dress. The dress she wore, was worn by all of us girl cousins on my mom's side. My grandma has just kept it for years and keeps passing it down. One day hopefully my little girls will wear it! Cadence did great during her blessing and open house. She pretty much slept the WHOLE time! But that's what babies do best! Later that night at Preston's parents house was the blessing for little Everett. Everett is the son of Preston's cousin. He's an adorable little guy! His parents are so happy to have him! They both were great blessings and Preston had the opportunity to stand in the circle for both blessings! It was a treat! I'm so happy to have Preston who is a worthy holder of the Priesthood. He's a great husband (I can't say that enough!) Here are some pictures of the blessings!

Look how beautiful!
The happy family!
Best bud's!

Favorite uncle Chris!haha I love this picture! Jared wanted a picture taken with Cadence and I told him to make sure he holds her head! He made sure he did! Aren't they cute?!Here is Everett! What a handsome little guy!aahahaha, this picture is a classic Bill picture! So, as you can see, up North got a bunch of snow. Bill was upset that the Tomato plants are gone and snowed on. So he did what Bill would do, and took out a broom, tromped through the snow in his church clothes and brushed off the plants and picked tomatoes! He's one funny guy! We like having Bill as the new addition to the family!

Well folks, that's the update for now! If you made it clear till the end... Congrats!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR PRESTON!!!

Today, 23 years ago my fantastic husband was born!!! So this corny/sappy/sweet shout out is to him!
He is by FAR the best husband ever! He is so sweet and so considerate of me and other people. I rarely hear him talk bad about other people. He is so smart, I wish all the time I had the brains like he does... I at least hope our kids get his brains! He works so hard for us at work and at school and at his work... they LOVE him there. They tell him all the time the store wouldn't be the same without him and he has totally turned it around for the good and I totally believe it. He works so hard and does great at his job! He is always so happy an excited to see me after a long day at work and school. I am so lucky to be married to him! I love that he is a total jock haha. He loves loves loves sports, especially football! He's been playing football since he was 10 and all through the year he is either playing on a basketball, softball or football team. It is so fun to watch him at his best! He's a hard player but also a great sport and helps lift the other players up! He has such a love for our families and is so sweet and is always willing to help them out (willing to help anybody out at that matter) If you need his help, he'll be there in a second! He has such a strong testimony of the church and a true love for the gospel! He's always my little pick-me-up when I'm having a bad day and is always there to give me a hug and make me feel better! I love that he loves road trips, trips in general and camping and hiking and exploring and all that fun stuff! I'd go crazy if he wasn't into that stuff! He's always up for an adventure! He is so respectful towards others. I KNOW that he will be a great father when we decide to have our kiddies! He is so funny and always has something stirring up in his head and is always make me bust out in laughter! You never know what might come out of his mouth next! I love it when we say we'll go to bed early and we just end up cracking jokes and goofin off in bed for an hour. He is my best friend and always will be! I love being married to him and appreciate everything he does for us and our families! I'm the luckiest gal out there! And might I add... he is smokin hott! woo woo! So Happy Birthday to my lover boy Preston! I LOVE YOU!

*sorry to any of you who this was too sappy or boring... too bad for you* lol =)

Fantastic weekend!

Wow, what an awesome weekend we had! It was so relaxing and uplifting! Friday night after work, my mom and I went to the temple... so awesome! It was fun to go with her. My dad took Chris and Lili to the cabin for the weekend to shut it down for the winter so my mom was home alone since she was working. Preston had a lot of studying to do Friday night so I invited my mom to go to the temple with me! When I got home from the temple, Preston and I watched a movie when he was finished studying. Saturday we got up and made a big breakfast and watched conference! Wow, conference was amazing. I was able to watch all 4 sessions and loved every one of the speakers... Elder Wirthlin was one of my favorites. He's so sweet and had a great message on laughing more and not taking things so seriously which was good to hear and he had some hilarious stories! Preston went to football practice after the 1st session so, while it was raining outside I cuddled up and watched the 2nd session! I absolutely loved the primary choir... such sweet kids! They sounded so great! I love that Preston and I teach primary. The kids are so adorable and so smart and we learn so much from those kids! We have our primary program coming up and I hope the back two rows in our primary were watching those kids in conference and how it really is possible to sing! haha. We have such sweet kids in our primary! Then Saturday night while Preston stayed up north to go to Priesthood session with his dad, I met up with my sister Heidi and my mom and little baby Cade and we went to Ladies night at Deseret Book! We were one of the first 100 ladies in line and got the cutest door prize! They had awesome deals going on there and it was so fun to go with my sister and mom. After ladies night, we got Cafe Rio!! Yummy! Then we hung out at mom's house for a while! Then Sunday, Preston and I went nowhere... which on Sundays we always go to one of our parents which is always so fun but it was also very nice to hang out at home all day and relax. We made the traditional cinnamon rolls my family always does the Sunday of conference. We watched conference, took naps, I took a bubble bath, read some of my book, did a whole lot of nothing! It was fantastic and so relaxing! And we of course watched football. Conference was again awesome... I can't say that enough! I had such a great time hanging out with Preston all weekend! He's the BEST. I just had to share our awesome weekend! This week is a busy one with 2 birthdays and 2 baby blessings. So my next post will probably have pictures!
