We're still alive!

Alright, just a quick update! We're still doing great and keepin busy. Preston started another semester of school a couple weeks ago and so far he's enjoying his classes and getting good scores on his homework and tests. We're hoping he can do as good as he did last semester by acing the whole semester! He's a genius and actually likes school! He's doing great at work and recently just got a good raise which is always very nice and very helpful. I'm still really liking my new job... I've already been there 3 months! Time sure flies. People at my work are SOO cool and so fun and it's a great company! Preston and I have been spending time with our families and friends which is always a blast! We have the best people in our lives and always love being with our friends and family. We get to go to the big kid class now at church, after being primary teachers for a year and a half, we are now substitutes, our bishopric said "we can't let you go completely out of primary because you're so reliable and the kids love you, but we want to give you the opportunity to learn from relief society and elders quorum." We LOVE our ward! Everybody is so loving and so nice and so friendly, we have made some great friends in our ward and we'll be so sad the day we'll have to leave. We especially love those little kids, we have grown so close to the kids in the ward and they are always coming up to hug us. The first 3 weeks of this year, we taught the cute little sunbeams until they got a full time teacher and the 4th week, the first week of us going into the big kids class, we saw one of our little sunbeams in the foyer after sacrament and we went up to say hi to him and he looks up at us and says "where were you today, I was loong ALLL over for you" gosh, it made me miss those kids so much already! They're so sweet and really do teach us alot! They're such little smarty pants and we know all their family secrets hahaha.
Preston and I also have had the opportunity to attend a couple baptisms and a blessing for our little cousins. What fun experiences. Preston even gave a talk at one about the Holy Ghost to the little kids getting baptized. He did great! I think him being in primary so long really helped him relate to those kids and give a talk on their level.
So, not much has changed for us! We're just enjoying life and keeping busy and love being with eachother! There is a little update for ya! Hopefully the next one, we'll have pictures! Well, time to go watch my weekly Ghost Hunters with my mom and little sister lili. It's been real yo!
Ciao!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I can't believe it's hear. 2008 was a pretty good year for Preston and I. It was a hard year for others around us and we hope those people have a much better 2009. We did LOTS of fun things in 2008 and probably the best memory was going to Hawaii. That place sure is paradise! I also got a new brother.. Brady! haha. Long story there, if you want details, look at posts in may or june or ask me. But we love you Brady and we're proud of you progress on your mission. My sister Heidi and her husband Chase had a baby girl and our family can't get enough of her! We love her and she's such a sweet baby to have in the family. Preston has been doing awesome in school. This last semester he finished out with 2 A's and 2 A-'s I'm pretty darn proud! And we can finally say..... we are applying for Pharmacy school's this year!!!! This fall we'll be applying to about 6-8 Pharmacy schools around the country. Preston's family is doing great. This year, his grandma got married to Bill. and they are a happy newlywed couple. Jess is in love with a missionary who comes home in May so we'll see how that turns out when he gets home... hopefully good!!! She's so twitterpated over him =) Preston has played more and more football and still loves it. We have spent lots of time with our families who we love and lots of time with all our awesome friends. 2009 started out great with the UTES winning the Sugar Bowl!!! What a fantastic game.

Well, for new years, Preston and I went up to Logan with, can you guess?... That's right, Shawn and Katie! haha. We went to Hamiltons for a nice dinner. We got all gussied up for dinner! Then, we went to their house, drank some bubbly and played Settlers of Catan (is that what it's called?) Anyways, it was such a fun night... Thanks Shawn and Katie for having is up! We got home around 3 am new years day and crashed. New years day we went to my parents house for fondue and games... their yearly tradition! It was really fun. Heidi and Chase also came. It was a nice relaxing day with lots of good food!
Us at Hamiltons on New Years EveNew years day, playing Disney/Pixar Monopoly! Fun game!Heeerrrrssss Heidi!!!Oma and Cade
This child, LOVES to be naked! We got a streaker on our hands. She was getting kind of fussy and needed a diaper change and while her mommy and daddy were at the store getting a couple of things for her. We stripped her down to get her jammies on and change her diaper. The second that diaper came off, I have never seen a happier baby. She was squirmin and squeeling and laughin and kicking. She went from grumpy and mad to happy as can be in like 2 seconds. So we left her in her birthday suit for about 10 minutes and boy was she lovin us! Her parents better watch out =)

Preston had more football games with his buddies, I had a girls night with my girls I still see from the Sorority and we did a fun gift exchange. And we've hung out with our good friends the Parry's and they're actually coming over again tonight! So it sure has been busy but very fun! Let the pictures explain.

Next, we had lots of Christmas parties! These pictures are from the Rhoades Christmas party. This family is HUGE! They're a fun bunch! For this party, instead of doing a gift exchange, everybody made or brought a blanket to donate to Primary Childrens Medical Center. It was such a good idea. Preston and I both made our blankets along with his parents and sister. There were such cute and nice blankets and with the big family this side is, that hospital will get plenty of blankets! Here is Aunt Cathy, Tauni and little Lydia.Maddy and Gavin. I can't belive Christmas has come and gone! All that work for one day =) But it was such a wonderful season. We had so much good times with family, and we loved being in primary and seeing our kids help out in the Christmas Story and just feeling the spirit of Christmas! Thanks to all our family members for all of your wonderful gifts and goodies! P.S. I forgot to mention my parents advent party. I of course forgot my camera but that was a wonderful get together with family and that party always helps bring in the Christmas spirit and always has fantastic food haha. HAPPY TWO!!!!

It is our two year anniversary today!!! It has been the greatest two years ever. With our up's and down's our adventures and experiences, I wouldn't trade any of it for anything. I love Preston and we have the greatest relationship and are truly best friends! He is the most amazing man! One example (of many!) last night, I wasn't feeling very good, I had a really bad head ache, kinda sick to my stomach and very tired from the last 2 weeks/weekends that have been non-stop so after dinner, Preston told me to go lay down and I go out a little bit after and he has laundry going in the washer, the kitchen cleaned up and the dishwasher running! The little things that he does like that mean the world! He's so smart... he totally aced this last semester in his really hard classes! He is so loving and so kind to everybody and always gives everybody a chance and isn't one to judge! He has one amazing testimony and is such a great teacher to our little primary kids! I'm so lucky to have him! I'm excited for the rest of forever we have together and what our lives have in store for us! I can't believe it's been 2 years already! Whew, time flies when you are having fun!
