More summer fun!

I can't believe summer is about over. Preston started up fall semester (2 semesters left at SLCC!!) We've both been busy at work and with friends and family. As usual! Here are some pictures of what we've been up to within the last month.

Then, one day, we went to the fair!


Then, the same day of the fair, we went downtown to the church history museum. It is so cool there. Preston had never been. I LOVE history especially when it comes to church stuff. We had an awesome time there. Replica of one of the stones from the Nauvoo temple.

We went house hunting and found this great 1 room bungalow! What a steal! If only Preston could stand up straight!

This was really cool. It was kind of odd at first to see this. A little surreal. But it was soo cool. I felt the spirit so strong right here. It was crazy seeing President Hinckleys set up where they have all the prophets who have passed on and their displays.


Then recentally Heidi and I (and Cade) took Nichole to dinner for her birthday. We missed Kels but had a great time at one of our favorite places... Applebee's.

Where is summer going?

Well, we are still alive but summer has been crazy!! Super fun but super busy! Preston has been kickin but in another semester that ends next week, he'll have a 2 week break then will be back at it for another semester. He is so dedicated and motivated for school. He's been doing so awesome in school. He's also been doing awesome at work and enjoys his job and the people he works with and they love him! I'm one proud wife! As for me, work has bee NUTS! I just recently got a promotion and I am now the Individual Plan Coordinator. I had about a month to train until Jaime left to school (just yesterday... we're all super sad that she left, she's one awesome girl, but she's off to pursue her schooling in AZ to become a physical therapist). So I've been trying to remember and cram everything into my brain and today was my first day by myself in my new position. I think I did pretty well! I'm pretty confident about it and I'm excited for the new experience!

We're starting the application process for Pharmacy school in just a couple of weeks. So if everybody has a little extra finger crossing and an extra prayer... think of us and that things will work out for the best and that things will go smoothly and that we can get accepted to where we're supposed to be! If we do get accepted somewhere, it wont be in UT... we're applying to schools out of UT. The list isn't final yet but a few places are Cali, Idaho, Oregon and we're going to decide on 1 or 2 other schools. We're holding onto a lot of faith, prayers and excitement that everything will work out. We're pretty confident that it will but it's still pretty dang nerve-racking... We're excited for a change. We'll miss our Utah bubble with our friends and family and everything we know but we're really excited to get out of our Utah bubble for a few years and have an awesome experience and get through SCHOOL! And move on with our lives haha.

We've been having such a fun summer with camping, hiking, bbq's swimming, driving ranges, fireworks, and just hanging out with friends and family!

For the 4th of July.. On the 3rd SSL always puts on one incredible firework show... seriously. Preston says SSL is poor because they spend all their money on fireworks. It's probably true haha. They do this every year at my High School and this year they had the school open and LOTS of memoribilia. This school first opened in 1906. They had some of the coolest stuff out. I could have looked at that stuff for hours. It's always a mini high school reunion. I always see all my awesome friends and lots of family friends. It's a blast and it's been our family tradition since I can first remember!It felt good to be back! I LOVED Highschool!
