Thanksgiving and more!

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! We sure did. This year we were with my side of the family and we all got together at Oma's and Opa's for lots and lots and lots of food! It was all sooo good and it was so fun to spend time with the crazy family! Here are pictures of our Thanksgiving!Sorry it's blurry, but here is pretty mom!

We play BINGO every year and win some fun, yummy prizes!Me and my buddy Jessnap time after dinner!Peter and CadenceJess and CadenceOkay, this has a long explanation, I'll try to shorten it up. A couple weekends ago, Xander fell into Oma's and Opa's pond when we were all there for Oma's birthday. Isaac, Ben and Jared saved Xander and pulled him out of the icy pond. And my dad saw them trying to help him, so my dad ran out there brought Xander inside so my dad got a Bravery award for helping to save Xander. The 3 boys also got awards (they made a big deal about those 3 little boys being hero's it was cute and they were so excited, but they all ran off to play before I could get a picture of them with their awards.) Melyssa also got a bravery award for saving Jared and Issac when they both fell into the pond a couple years ago. It was so nice of Oma and Opa to think of this, mostly for those little boys! They were so proud of their awards!
Friday I had the day off so I got the house all decked out in Christmas while Preston went into work for a couple of hours. When he got home, we thought it'd be fun to go up to Park City. We went up there and got some dinner and walked Main Street. Everything is all ready for Christmas it was a fun date, then we rented Hancock.... it's an awesome movie! This is us in Park CityBy our apartment is this cul-de-sac and it's DECKED out! The top house is like the grizwalds and this bottom house is syncronized to music. This picture does NOT do justice, you have to see it! If you want to know where it is, ask me and I'll tell you how to get there. It's insane but SO cool! Here is our little Chrismas tree!
Saturday Preston had a football game, he played AWESOME!!! He got 2 touchdowns and a 2 point conversion and a bunch of tackles. His whole team did great, but I was most proud of Preston! And he sure looks good in his Football gear! Both our families came to the game so it was fun for them too! This picture is of Preston during warm up.

The Aces lost but they put out a great fight they only lost by 1 touchdown. Preston got 2 out of the 4 touchdowns and his good friend Mason got one of the others. It's so fun watching Preston and he LOVES playing. He plays with a bunch of his good friends so even when they lose they all still have a great time!

Well, there ya have it. Our busy weekend, and they're about to get even more busy starting this weekend with Christmas stuff!

Fantastic.

Wow, what a GREAT weekend! Seriously, it was so much fun. Let's start off by Friday at work. My new job is awesome. They find any reason to have a party there. So on Friday we had a big tailgating party for the UTES/byu game. Everybody wore their team color and each department had a plethora of food. There was stuff from a Nacho station, Brats, a dessert table, lots of candy, cookies, cakes, dips, chips and a lot of trash talking! It was a blast. It was pretty much a party day at work and we all got paid for it! Then that night Preston and I had the opportunity to go to the Temple. I look forward to that date night every month! We always feel so great afterwards and it's a great, free date night! Can't beat that! Saturday was a busy but awesome day. Saturday afternoon we went out Christmas shopping for our families, we only have two more people to buy for then we're done! I got an earlier start on it this year so in December we're not totally broke haha. After that, we went to Oma's and Opa's for Oma's birthday! We were so happy we could go and spend time with family especially Oma for her birthday! She is such a great and classy lady. She is always so welcoming, so loving and so happy to see her family, and she is THE best cook in the world. (She taught my dad, my dad taught me so... yes, it runs in the family, I'm a good cook haha, I just had to stick that in there). Between Preston and I we have the greatest grandparents ever! While we were at Oma's and Opa's we all gathered around the tv for the greatest moment in tv/college football history and watched the Utes totally defeat the cougars. What a great great game. The house was going crazy, I'm surprised the cops didn't get called on us! Preston had to leave a little early for his football game but he was sweet and told me to stay so I could watch the Utes. Preston has plent of games ahead and I honestly did not and could not miss this game! It was awesome! THEN, after the game. Preston and I had another date night, we went to dinner at the Gateway then went and saw..... drumroll please!!! TWILIGHT!!! AHHHHH! I LOVED that movie. They did an awesome job at it, I wont give away anything cause I know some of you haven't seen it yet. But it was great. The Characters were awesome. There were a couple parts they didn't have in the movie that was in the book that I wished was in the movie, but you can't put it ALL in there. I thought it was fantastic! Preston was a great sport and went with me and after all he enjoyed it. I had to explain a couple things to him but he actually really enjoyed it. I would pay to see that one again in the theaters. And I will for sure buy it when it comes out! I love Edward even more now haha. Here are some pictures of Oma's and Opa's. My batteries of course died right when it was time for her to blow out the candles! So here are a few pictures from that night. Here is the birthday girl!OpaJosh, Craig and Kels!Josh and Preston crashin!Jeff, Annamarie, and Mary. Jeff is covering up some blue with the RED!
Big girl Cadence eating big girl food for the first time!In this picture we have (front) Sarah, Heather and Olivia in the back we have.. Chase, Kiko, Melyssa and Jess and Annette.

Well there ya have it.
I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving this week!

Update

Alright, I got a new job. And so far it is great. It is for Dental Select Insurance and I am in their Elegibility department. The people here are great, my job seems like it'll be awesome once I get the hang of everything. I still get my weekends off, all paid holidays including the days after Thanksgiving and Chrsitmas off. Its pretty sweet! Like once a month they have a huge pot luck lunch with everybody, a couple times each year, the office will shut down early and everybody goes to a movie or bowling or something. How fun does that sound? So yeah, so far it all seems pretty cool! So there is a quick little update of the job. I do miss all the CR peeps! But I'm excited to get all new friends here.

On another note, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my brother CHRIS!!! Today is the big 15. We're going over to celebrate it later tonight. WE LOVE YOU CHRIS! YOU'RE AWESOME!!!!

Sorry not a big or exciting blog, but just a quick update!

We're still here!

I just have to say, it has been quite a crazy/stressful couple of weeks. But when it rains it pours, and we're finally getting out of the storm haha. We've had a couple car problems, I'm looking for a new job, along with the car problems, Preston got in a car accident. But, luckily when we need money, it's somehow always there... when I look at some months and wonder how it happens! So luckily, we've had enough to take care of what we've needed to these last couple of weeks. And out of all of this, Preston's car looks brand new from the shop work we've had done on it haha. Oh, and from the accident, everybody is fine! Nobody was hurt, and both cars were able to be driven home... or to the shop! Both of our families have been so great and so loving and caring through these couple of weeks! Preston brought up a good point, things have been going SO well for us for SO long, we were meant to have a little bump in the road. I just keep saying, it could be worse! Cause it could, for sure! I'm still looking for a new job, I'm waiting to hear back from a company that seems like an awesome company... They said I'd hear from them at the first of this week to do a "working interview" So wish me luck that I can get on with somebody quick! Unfortunately, my dad's business is just a tad to slow this year and he has to let me go so he can stay on top of his stuff. We're both sad I have to leave, but it'll work out! I'm still planning on helping him out for a couple hours a week or so to help him get organized, cause I'm not gonna lie, he'll be lost when I'm gone haha.

Oh a happy note, we had a fun fun Halloween! We didn't do anything big, we went to my parents for scary movies and chili dogs! It was lots of fun. I ate SOO much candy I'm surprised I didn't get sick! The week before Halloween we went to Preston's parents to carve pumpkins, that is one of my most favorite things of Halloween, I love carving pumpkins! Now, they're sitting on our porch, wilting and shriveling away and time to go to the dumpster! I'm loving the colder weather we've had this weekend! I just love fall and I can't believe it's November and that I now have my Thanksgiving decorations up. This year has sure gone SO fast!

Sorry no pictures with this post, but I at least wanted to give everybody an update! (Since our life is sooo exciting... NOT!) I hope you all have a great start to the Holidays and that you all don't get too stressed out! Thanks to those of you who have given us support and comfort over these last couple of weeks! We're grateful for what we do have, cause we have so much but when times are hard it's hard to focus on that, Preston and been my little ball of faith these last couple of weeks, he's my rock! We really are blessed and have so much, and through this stressful time, I've really thought about what we really DO have! We love you all!
