What haven't we been up to?!

Well, where to start! A couple of weekends ago, Preston took off early Friday morning and took off to Vegas for the weekend. It was a blast and a much needed get away! We loaded up on junk food, good music and DVD's and hit the road at 5 am. It was so fun, we love road trips! That Friday when we got into Vegas, we got some food, hung out in the hotel for a while and went to do a session at the Las Vegas temple. What a beautiful temple! All the temples are of course gorgeous but it was just fun to go to the temple in Vegas haha. When we went into the temple, it was nice and sunny and SO warm, (unlike some other state that I know of) When we got out of the temple a couple of hours late, it was of course dark so I was able to get a picture with the lights on. Check em out!
Sorry about the night picture, I don't know what was up with my camera but I couldn't get it to focus very good. But, I still think it looks pretty awesome!

Saturday, we went to the Red Rock Canyon and did some hiking in the "mountains" of Nevada. It was so fun to see other parts of Vegas besides the strip. We did a hike that was about 2 miles long round trip. It was a nice leisure hike or more like walk haha. It got really windy and very dusty but it didn't stop us! We had a blast!
See what I mean by a Leisure hike hahaSaturday after the hike we went and got refreshed and rested and hit the strip the rest of the day/night and did all the sight seeing stuff and lots of fun shopping!
K, this isn't the best angle of either of our faces haha but I took this picture because of the ceiling of blown glass in the Bellagio. Very cool!
Am I eating these right? YUMMY!!! King crab legs! Bellagio buffet is fantastic.

Alright, moving on... the Wednesday after we got back, my studly brother Chris finished up his Eagle project at the Grizz game. He promoted being an organ donor at various things throughout the year. 4th of July festivities and Grizzly games. Our grandpa was an organ donor and helped save 9 lives because of it. My brother did a great job and got a lot of good response and lots of help from the family and his fellow scout buddies! I'm so proud of him! He has his head on straigth and is a great example to the family and is one of my favorite buddies ever! WE LOVE YOU CHRIS!!! Keep up the hard work. sidenote... Chris tried out for the Drumline for Skyline High (another side note, I can't believe he'll be in HIGH SCHOOL next school year... YIKES!) Anywho, we'll be going to the Skyline football games to watch my bro on the drumline and he'll be on the Hockey team. There isn't anything this kid can't do. (Chris, don't let that get to your head TOO much =) )
Me and Chris. Check out all his meritbadges! He's pretty much got them all! The team warmin up! The lost this game which totally was NOT cool, because if they would have won this game, they would have made it to the play offs. Oh well, still fun!
Chillin in the VIP lounge at the Grizz game. Me and my awesome cousin Kelsey! Isn't she oh so pretty! And my mom, tryin to get in the picture!! I see you mom!
Me and my little lili who I can't believe will be in Young Womens NEXT MONTH!!! and will be starting Jr. High next school year. Wow, I'm feeling old. I'm an aunt to my little sister who had a baby, my baby sister is going to be in Jr. High and Young Womens and Chris, well he'll be in High School. Sheesh. These kids were just running around in their diapers it seems like yesterday and as for my parents... well, they just keep getting older! If I'm getting old, they must be too right? haha But they are the BEST parents any 4 kids could ask for. We love them mucho!

The next weekend we got some time in with our friends Shawn and Katie and played some pool and ate at a very good and cheap restaurant in Logan called Bluebird, if any of you yonder up towards Logan, you should try it out! Delish! We also got to watch this cute little girl...
She is now 7 months... right?! She's adorable. Her mommy and daddy had a romantic weekend getaway so we watched little Cade. She was such a good baby the whole time. She was so fun and just talked and scooted away. Preston and her had lots of fun together whenever I'd go to take her from Preston she'd cry. I don't know how I felt about that haha. Cause she was crying when she was coming to me but then she also loved being with uncle Preston! But then she did it to him when he'd pick her up from me. I guess she couldn't make up her mind. Preston also fed his first bottle to a baby! haha he was so fun with her!
All dolled up for church, you might ask if she lived on her blanket while she was with us, which she did most of the time because she LOVES her toys especially the little doll that she's holding onto, she mauls that baby. She's such a little cutie- pa- tootie

The little buds! Cute eh?!

This weekend is Conference weekend, today was amazing, the talks and inspiration that was given today was much needed for I think the whole world. It always is, but this time more than usual I think with how the whole world has been. I felt very comforted when they kept saying that the church is doing great and that we just need to keep faith and continue to pray and give ourselves to the Lord and we will be just fine! And we just need to remember that the Lord wont give us more than we can't handle! Preston got to go to Priesthood session with his dad, it's always fun to hear what they talk about there and to see what Preston gets from it! We got to start the Conference weekend off nice with a session through the new Draper temple with my parents. It was soo nice and so peaceful! And it still smelt like new carpet haha. I can't wait for tomorrow to see what the church leaders have to bring!

Well, folks. Preston is fast asleep in our comfy warm bed and here I am at midnight determined to finish this LONG blog. So now that it's done, I'm off to beddy! So, until next time... That's the way the cookie crumbles!
